February’s Choice magazine saw a comprehensive review of the commercially available ciders within Australia. Judged by industry heavyweights Max Allen (award winning wine columnist and chief judge at the Australian Cider Awards 2011), Mike Bennie (Australian Gourmet Traveller Wine writer), Chris Foster (owner of Annandale Cellars) & James Kendall (owner & founder of Small Acres Cyder).

We faired pretty well, if we do say so ourselves!

Last weekend Batlow Premium Cider partnered up with Secret Foodies to present ‘Pig & Swig’. If you’re unaware of Secret Foodies then click here to find out more, the long & the short of it..Secret Foodies organises unique dining experiences, 2 hours prior to the event you receive a text with the address of your unique dining location. By all accounts everyone had a superb evening of Batlow Premium Cider & Suckling Pig.

There was a time when the only place to drink in Neutral Bay only Sydney’s Lower North Shore was The Oaks. Times have changed. There have been a few little bars and wine bars that have opened their doors and our favourite’s ‘The Local Bar’. This Sunday we kick off Local Cider Sundays @ The Local Bar. What does that mean? $5 Batlows, DJs, Batlow Cider cocktails from 3-7pm. Get down early as it fills up quick!
